With your help, Leilani Munter is entered to race at Daytona speedway tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 18th.
You can watch on the SPEED Channel, starting at 4 PM EST. The race begins at 4:30 PM.
Leilani, thanks to the support of hundreds of donors, will be racing car #12 with a Cove motif (see below). Even her racing suit will feature The Cove dolphins!

You can see some photos of the car at Leilani's twitter site: https://twitter.com/leilanimunter
Here's an interview she did for ARCA at Daytona: http://arcaracing.com/videos.php?video_id=2191
Cove Director Louie Psihoyos and I will be with Leilani in the racing pit. We plan to autograph 1,000 copies of The Cove DVD to hand out to fans before the race.
If you have tickets to the race, be sure to come on by and say hello to us. We will be in the ARCA garage starting at 12:30 EST to meet the fans and pass out The Cove.
If you can’t make it, the next best thing is to watch the race live on the SPEED Channel.
The Earth Island office in Berkeley is hosting a party with staff and volunteers to watch the race on the SPEED channel. Throw a party of your own.
It should be quite a fun and unique media event! Thanks to all of you who helped Leilani fund her special car.

Leilani has been to Taiji several times now documenting the dolphin slaughter and blogging on our website. Here is her blog encouraging donations to help us fund talented volunteer Cove Monitors like Leilani to come to Taiji:
